Full-Service Commercial Office Relocation from a Downtown Denver High-Rise

Western Midstream is a leading energy infrastructure company managing pipelines, processing facilities, and gathering systems across the western United States.

Operating from a high-rise building in downtown Denver, their space reflected their company size, including dozens of private offices, cubicle stations, conference rooms, and fully equipped support areas. When the time came to vacate and redistribute that entire operation, they needed more than a standard mover. They needed a full-service commercial moving company with the logistics experience to handle a multi-phase, multi-state relocation from the ground up
  • Project Date: January – March 2025

The Challenge

The scope of this commercial office relocation went well beyond moving furniture. The project required full decommissioning of 18 cubicle stations, 42 private offices, 4 conference rooms, and 2 kitchens from an active downtown Denver high-rise, all executed after hours to avoid any disruption to building operations. Beyond furniture, the work involved safely disconnecting data lines, AV equipment, electrical whips, and plumbing connections. Once cleared, all assets must be moved into secure storage before final delivery and installation across two states. The stakes were high, the timeline was tight, and the coordination required was significant.

The Strategy

Our Denver office movers developed a three-phase execution plan designed to keep every part of the project moving in sequence. In the first phase, our crew executed the full office decommissioning services after hours, systematically working through each floor to disconnect technology infrastructure, break down furniture, and stage everything for removal without impacting the building's daytime operations.

In the second phase, all assets were transported to EZ Moving's Denver storage facility. Our commercial warehousing and storage capabilities enabled Western Midstream to bridge the gap between move-out and final delivery without losing track of a single item.

In the third phase, our team coordinated final delivery and installation across Colorado and Wyoming, reinstalling 18 cubicle stations and 30 private offices in Gillette, WY, while distributing remaining assets to Colorado locations. As a multi-state office moving company, we managed logistics, sequencing, and installation under a single

project team from start to finish. Retired equipment was handled through e-recycling at the close of the project.

The Outcome: A Commercial Office Relocation Executed Across Two States

The downtown Denver high-rise was fully cleared on schedule without a single disruption to building operations. Every asset was warehoused, tracked, and delivered to its destination across two states. The Gillette, WY installation was completed to spec, retired items were responsibly e-recycled, and Western Midstream was able to move forward without the delays that typically accompany a relocation of this scale. This project is a direct example of what separates a coordinated commercial office relocation from a standard move and why organizations with complex, multi-location needs trust EZ Moving to see it through.
